Telepoint is a German sales company specializing in video, photo, telecommunications, computers, and consumer electronics. Recently they have announced that they will be expanding their offerings in the area of 3D printing through a partnership with iGo3D, the market leader in Germany in 3D printing equipment and accessories distribution. The newest store location, Lemgo/Hannover, will be the anchor point for these expanded offerings. With the shop in Lemgo, there are now 16 locations across Germany.
A spokesperson for iGo3D explained how their new partnership advances their commitment:
“iGo3D is all about bringing 3D printing into the life [sic] of regular people. Due to the fast development of 3D printers, 3D scanners and modeling software, 3D printing is becoming more and more interesting and affordable for personal users. With 3D printing, ‘everything’ is possible.”
On the part of Telepoint, the collaboration brings technologies such as those offered by the Ultimaker2go, Mass Portal’s Pharaoh 3D printer, and the DaVinci AiO from XYZPrinting. The storefront means that customers can go in and interact with the machines and rely on the expertise of in-store employees rather than having to stumble around looking for unreliable help on the web. In addition to printers, the Lemgo store will offer a wide variety of filaments such as Innofil and Verbatim or you can just stop by and try out the newest version of the 3Doodler printing pen.
The Shrinkster is a full body scanner that works its magic in only a hundredth of a second. Simply step in (or send your well-trained animal in) to the machine and step out to await a full-color print. For most, the 5-20 cm size is the perfect range for a mini-me…but if you want to have your pet rat scanned, you could actually get a life-size version of your rodent to bring to the next Rat Fancier’s Convention.
Now, all I have to do is get my rats their passports.
