Larry Crenshaw, the director of strategic messaging at AT&T told ReadWrite, that they invested in a relationship with Cubify because they strongly believe that a more useful era of 3D printing is already on the way. Crenshaw believes that for now, 3D Printing is merely a novelty. However, he believes that in the very near future, they will be used to make tools and other things that people need.
On Friday, the word was that all the Cube printers had sold out on AT&T’s store. However, it now appears as though they are available once again for purchase online.
We have no official word if and when AT&T plans to start selling Cube printers in stores nationwide, but it could be sooner rather than later.
