Sculpteo Offers Big Price Break on 3D Printed Items with Economy Plan Shipping Option

Sculpteo Economy Pricing PlanFrom their head office outside of Paris and their San Francisco location, Sculpteo founders Éric Carreel and Clément Moreau say their workshops are dedicated to printing 3D designs using various techniques.

Now they’re offering customers a price break as well.

If you’ve been considering using 3D printing for small volume production parts, and your needs for when those parts are delivered are flexible, Sculpteo believe they have a new offer that’s right in your wheelhouse.

They call it the Economy Plan, and if you’re willing to take it slow when it comes to turnaround time for plastic parts, Sculpteo is offering up to 30% off your print.

There are independent designers who are going to see this as some excellent news. Many feel that the 30% off deal will allow them, given the proper time frame, to build larger objects.

So consider this: if you don’t have a pressing “need for speed,” and you can afford to wait more than a week for your parts, the offering of different production options on plastic parts sounds like a winner.

It’s a pretty simple deal. If your order qualifies for the Economy Plan, you’ll see a set of notifications on the Sculpteo site at the time of checkout letting you know if you can benefit from the Economy Plan offer. The first notification comes on the “Print” page where you’ll find two alerts after you select any plastic material for standard printing resolution. The alerts will be located directly under the price in their shopping cart.

Sculpteo says you’ll need to keep in mind that an order which qualifies for the Economy Plan won’t automatically be billed under the Economy Plan. You’ll need to make that selection yourself in your cart as you review your order.

If any of the products in your cart qualify for production as an Economy Print, you’ll see an icon which will allow you to select the proper shipping option, and to make sure you’ve selected the correct production offer, they’ve added a horizontal slider to let you pick the option you prefer.

Once you’ve selected the Economy Plan, the Sculpteo cart will automatically update the price to reflect your 30% price reduction.

If you have several items – all with different shipping dates as some may qualify and some may not – Sculpteo suggests you order those items separately to avoid shipping delays.

The company says the new offer is now a permanent feature, and it applies to their plastic material with a few restrictions. The Batch Control and 60µ Printing Resolution options are excluded from the new production offer.
