Lucas Matheson, CEO and co-founder of Pinshape, has just told 3DPrint.com about the digital marketplace’s latest 3D design contest, and the prizes are truly worth taking notice.
“We’ve just launched an innovative contest with ELLE Jewelry,” Matheson told us. “By far the biggest ‘brand’ we’ve worked with to source talent from the 3D Printing community. A testament to how large brands using 3D Printing talent. They’re planning on mass manufacturing the winning designs and using the contest to find talent they can hire on to their design team (part of the prize pack).”
It doesn’t get much more life-changing than that, and offering that foot in the door might be just the nudge a home designer needs to turn their hobby into a pretty prestigious career. The winning design has the chance to be produced in sterling silver and sold as part of ELLE Jewelry’s globally available product line.

All three award levels will offer a boost to the winning designer’s career through a video/phone interview for a designer position at ELLE, as well as social media coverage through the sponsors’ various channels. In addition, the first and second place winners will receive $750 in jewelry from ELLE Time & Jewelry.
