The 3D printing space is just beginning to hit a point in which hundreds of business objectives that may have seemed like poor ideas a year or two ago, are suddenly making sense. When I was in New York in early April, I
The fact that a significant amount of capital is being invested into pricey storefronts, in major cities filled with 3D printers, shows us that this technology is really taking off. Today, another company, iMakr, has announced that they too will soon be opening their own 3D printer shop in Manhattan. iMakr, a UK based company, already has a storefront in England’s largest city of London. In fact, a year ago this month, was the grand opening of that store, located on Clerkenwell Road near Farrington station. The store is actually the largest 3D printing related shop in the entire city of 8.3 million people. The success that iMakr has had at that location is apparent in the fact that next month, on June 19th, they will have their grand opening for their new Manhattan storefront. The exact location has not been revealed to the public as of yet, but they are already accepting reservations for the celebration via Eventbrite.
Sylvain Preumont, iMakr Founder stated, “We’re delighted to be replicating our highly successful model in New York, and look forward to providing the full 3D printing experience to the US market”
Some of the offerings to be expected at the new Manhattan location will be:
- Numerous brands of high quality 3D printers, produced by companies around the world
- Tech support and maintenance
- 3D printing workshops and lessons
- 3D printer parts, and supplies
- 3D printed objects, designed by famous artists
Once again, anyone who will be in Manhattan on June 19th may register for the free grand opening event here.
