Canadian Service Bureau Troadey Says Their Express Print Service Is Now Online

The Quebec-based 3D printing service, Troadey Inc., says they’re taking the business of outputting 3D objects one step beyond by offering affordable 3D printing using industrial 3D printers.

Troadey says they’re modifying existing 3D printers to make it much cheaper to run them without sacrificing quality, and their new Express Print Service offers dedicated 3D printers to the service – with more to come in the future.

The company has modified a Z310 Plus to more quickly render affordable parts, and as part of the service, they offer several finish options which can be tailored for a variety of project goals.  The Express Print Service launch is part of the innovative Troadey strategy to make 3D printing accessible for all needs and budgets. Express Print is aimed at production speed. For parts which require a more demanding set of parameters, Troadey also offers high precision 3D printing and a range of specific materials for the industrial market.

Troadey’s website features tips and tricks on saving money on your orders, and pricing estimates are available through the site as well as a variety of downloads to help with print preparation like MeshMixer.

The service comes as a result of Troadey’s experience within the last year which they say has shown them that a market exists for customers who don’t require parts which feature elaborate design tolerances or high strength. They added that the Zcorp “binder jetting” technology they chose allows them to stack parts one above the other in the build chamber, and that permits them to amp up the speed of production.

The Troadey Z310 Plus features a build volume of 8″ X 10″ X 8″, and the process they use for Express Print takes advantage of the powder process and the company’s special blend bonding agent. Their bonding agent has been altered to cause less damage to the print heads, and that means better speed and more consistent prints. The parts printed via Express Print are white and feature a rough finish, but the company says a range of finishing methods means parts can be fine-tuned for additional strength and surface finishes.

Those finish levels include heat treatment, infiltration with liquid similar to Cyanoacrylate, and if parts need maximum strength, durability and smoother finish, they offer an epoxy-like coating.

Troadey says the minimum order quantity for Express Print is 30$, and they add that the final price is calculated by determining the final volume of a print. Shipping and finish options are billed via a flat rate system.
