Minockio allows its customers to easily create figurines of themselves or a friend. The figurines could be described as half cartoon/half bobble head in appearance. We have seen other figurine customization applications in the past, but have to say that this is probably one of the easiest to use and understand interfaces yet. The system allows you to design your character, choosing important facial features, clothes, and even the stance you’d like your figurine to be printed in.
Once a figurine’s design is complete, customers can have it 3D printed out and shipped directly to their homes. Minockio uses a high performance inkjet powder-based 3D printer to create the finished product in full color. Because of the technology being used, the end product will cost quite a bit, when compared to action figures you’d buy at the store. The typical price for a 4 inch (approximate, depending or stance) figurine is 4500 Baut ($140). Minockio is running a sale, however, until June 30th which they are offering the service for just 3700 Baut ($114).
Once a design is submitted it will take approximately 15 days to ship. Minockio offers free shipping worldwide, and will replace any defective merchandise within two weeks of receiving it.
