MonoPrice Introduces Their Affordable Dual Extrusion 3D Printer

As competition heats up within the 3D printer market, manufacturers are finding themselves in a situation where they need to offer additional features in order to move merchandise off shelves. Whether it’s an ability to print in multiple materials, the addition of cameras so that users can monitor a print via the cloud, or dual extruders, the 3D printing market is ripe for any company able to cram the most features, into the best printer, at the best price.

A Rancho Cucamonga, California company called MonoPrice, known for their affordable, yet high quality electronics, has announced the launch of their first 3D printer today. The Monoprice Dual Extrusion ABS/PLA/PVA 3D Printer is priced at just $1,199, making it the cheapest available dual extrusion device on the market, according to the company.

“Monoprice is excited to offer high-quality 3D printing with dual color capability, along with a number of included extras and free shipping, at under $1,200 – a price level that is unheard of in the industry,” said Luke Grant, Monoprice’s Vice President of Marketing. “We are looking to have a major impact in the fast-growing field of 3D printing, and make this valuable technology more accessible to a wide range of consumers, businesses, schools, and researchers.”
