iOS Mobile App Now Available for Threeding 3D Printing Marketplace and Community

I just downloaded my Threeding iOS app – have you? Coming to us as a startup founded in 2013, by Bulgarian National Academy of Art students Tzveta-Maria Partaleva and Stan Partalev, Threeding has been progressing at a rapid rate as a 3D printing marketplace and community for buying, selling, and exchanging. Both paid and free services are part of the online platform which encourages you to create helpful 3D printable devices and household tools, accessories, toys, widgets, and a wide variety of models. They encourage their community to become inspired, to become accomplished and creative designers, and to share.

Now you have easier access to Threeding with the iOS app, which follows the launch of their Android and FireOS apps last year. Pointing out that those with Apple devices comprise 15% of their user population, they want to gain a larger customer base from those users, with the launch of the streamlined app, as well as making sure to cater to a clientele that is known to be technologically savvy.

The free app, available on iTunes, is currently compatible with the iPhone and the iPod, with plans to expand its use for the iPad shortly. Fully synchronized with the Threeding website, all products are listed on the app which is laid out seamlessly, and displays items with sophisticated graphics, descriptions, and pricing information. The app couldn’t be easier to use and should be of great help to anyone trying to navigate Threeding quickly from their iPhone. I like the option for sharing items, as with the click of a button you can text or email information to a friend or relative regarding 3D printing that sixteen piece chess set, computer keyboard that you’ve been wanting, or a sculpture or model.

“Launching the iOS app has been a priority for us for months. We have spent a lot of time developing and testing it and I hope our users with Apple devices will enjoy it,” said Stan Partalev, co-founder of Threeding.

Threeding will be adding to the user-friendly mobile app gradually so that it is as functional as their traditional website, while eliminating extraneous information not necessary in the mobile application. Currently users are able to use the mobile app to buy and sell items, as it re-routes them to a link from the mobile platform, but uploading of 3D printable models is still only available through the website. Soon, users will also be able to physically purchase the entire inventory of 3D printing models they have listed. Services will be offered to users globally with a wide array of choices and combinations for materials and colors.

Catering to professional designers, as well as all 3D printing enthusiasts, Threeding aims to make their 3D printing marketplace unique in the quality of design work available in their community, as well as in the buying and selling process itself. We reported not too long ago on the additions of their 3D printability check which is available for users, as well as the print preview option. Threeding is dedicated to offering a large and varied assortment of 3D models for those interested in items regarding everything from architecture to automotive.
