Scanning in 3D has been around for years, however the increased popularity of 3D printing has brought a great deal of interest to the 3D scanning market as of late. Just like a 2D printer and a 2D scanner can work in tandem to copy
A company called Creaform understands the importance of this amazing technology, thus they have worked hard in launching two new versions of their Go!SCAN 3D portable scanners. The company has announced the release of the Go!SCAN 50, as well as the Go!SCAN 20.
The Go!SCAN 50 is targeted more towards those wishing to scan medium to larger objects, while the Go!SCAN 20 is perfect for those working with 3D printers. The Go!SCAN 20 allows for extremely intricate detailed scans of smaller objects. Below are several features of the new devices.
- Very high speed scanning. Most objects can be scanned in under 5 minutes.
- Amazing accuracy – The Go!SCAN 3D provides an accuracy of up to 0.1 mm (0.004 in.) and resolution of up to 0.2 mm (0.008 in.).
- Full-color 3D models – Users can easily and simultaneously capture high-quality geometry and colors.
- TRUsimplicity™ – Extremely simple scanning process.
