Partially 3D Printed Rezvani Beast Is the Ultimate American Made, Affordable, Sports Car

Light weight, aerodynamic vehicles are an engineer’s dream, when it comes to designing the ultimate sports car. Power and price are what usually drives sales though. What happens when you combine all four of these aspects beast-4into one vehicle? You get the Rezvani Beast. With the help of 3D printing, this has all been made possible.

The vehicle weighs just 1,550 pounds, a feat they have accomplished by using 3D printing and CNC routing. Engineers used the CNC machine to make a 3D version of the vehicle, which was then used to make molds for the carbon fiber panels of the car. The company then used advanced 3D printers to create the smaller parts of the vehicle, such as the front diffuser, lights, and mirrors. This is a design tactic few within the industry are using, allowing the Rezvani Beast to overcome many of the hurdles involved in weight reduction.

Most high performance, head turning sports cars will set you back $250,000 +. This makes them only dream material for most of the people on this planet. Forget Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, and the likes, as the Rezvani Beast aims to open the market up to a great deal of people who would not be able to afford a typical high performance vehicle previously. The Rezvani Beast will sell for just around $99,000 for the 325 HP version and $125,000 for the 500 HP version. Perhaps this isn’t “cheap” for most, but it does place the Beast within the price point of tens of thousands of  potential customers.

The design of the vehicle comes from the mind of Fardees Rezvani, and it is based on the chassis of the Ariel Atom.

“We wanted to get back to the basics,” Fardees Rezvani told Yahoo Autos. “We wanted to get back to a raw feel, a car with real tactile feedback, with a lightweight chassis. The Atom is fast up to 80 mph, but then it would hit a wall because of wind and aerodynamics. We can give this car a world-class design, but keep it ultralight and streamlined — make it appealing to road drivers.”

The Rezvani Beast joins the Koenigsegg One:1 as yet another vehicle to feature 3D printed parts, and best of all it is American built (for those Americans who will only purchase American-made vehicles).  If you are serious about purchasing your own Beast, then you better hurry, as there is a limited quantity being produce.  Take part in the discussion around the amazing sports car at the Rezvani Beast forum thread.  Check out some more images below:
