MakerBot Workspace Creations Are Now Available in the MakerBot Digital Store

desktop-collection2Back in January, MakerBot officially launched the “MakerBot Digital Store”. Up until just recently the digital designs offered in the store have been targeted mostly towards children. They have mostly consisted of toys. However, a couple weeks ago they began targeting people with other interests, other than those that want to either print toys for their kids, or have neat little figurines sitting on their desktops.

Recently added were the “desktop planters“, which included unique and creative pots for your plants, as well as the “Early Learning” series, which were a bunch of digital designs for helping young children learn.

Today, MakerBot announced the launch of their latest digital designs to their digital store. They have released the “MakerBot Workspace Creations” series. These are desktop organizers, that come with a tape dispenser, a post-it holder, cell phone holder, pen/pencil holder and stackable containers.

There are 5 different models available, and the designs can be purchased and then downloaded for only $3.99. If you are interested in purchasing all 5, you can get the entire colleciton for $14.99. These are printable on the MakerBot Replicator 2, as well as the latest 5th Generation Replicators.

The 5 different models are as follows:
– Clutter Cutter (Boat)
– Efficiency City (Skyline)
– Filament Fortress (Castle)
– Productivity Playground (Playground)
– Tidy Traincars (Train)

All of these designs are for 8 separate printable pieces, that when put together make the entire desktop organizer.  The approximate print time for an entire desktop organizer is 25 hours.  What do you think?  Have you purchased and printed any of these?  Discuss in the ‘Workshop Creations‘ thread on 3DPB.com.
