SHINING 3D Releases Multifunctional, Handheld EinScan Pro HD 3D Scanner

Hangzhou, China-based SHINING 3D is releasing the latest member of its multifunctional, handheld EinScan Pro 3D scanner series, the EinScan Pro HD. Framed as able to accurately capture high resolution scan data in a handheld package, the new high-definition EinScan Pro HD is meant to be even more versatile than its predecessors, though still featuring the modular design that makes them popular with users. This is because the company listened to what its customers wanted, and has now delivered what it claims to be a more powerful, efficient scanning solution.

As seen above, the new EinScan Pro HD has a faster scanning speed, and a USB 3.0 connection allows for high-speed data transmission as well, even when you’re scanning objects featuring complex or fine details.

This professional-grade 3D scanner is said to achieve exceptionally high resolution, as the modular device has adopted a new structure light projection. Now, the striped pattern scan used traditionally in Fixed Scan Mode can work in Handheld HD Scan Mode, as well, and, according to the company, achieve results that are just as good, using an optimized algorithm to get 0.2 mm minimum point distance setting.

Because of a new software algorithm and lighting projection hardware, the scanner has fewer limitations in what it is able to scan. In turn, the EinScan Pro HD offers is the ability to scan a wider range of darker objects and a casting metal surface.

Even though this is a new model, SHINING 3D carried over some of the more popular features from the Pro Series, such as multi-functional scanning. Thanks to its several scan modes and alignments, such as Fixed Scan and Handheld HD Scan, the EinScan Pro HD allows users to choose from different modules for various requirements, making it a good device for designers and engineers who need high-quality scans for many different applications.

Some of these applications include:

Using the optional Color Pack add-on, users are able to quickly get full-color texture and geometry during scans, while rich colors can actually help with data alignment during the process.

As previously mentioned, the EinScan Pro HD is meant to provide high accuracy, so that users can achieve the best quality models. In Fixed Scan Mode, this model can deliver volumetric accuracy up to 0.04 mm, while the number is up to 0.045 mm + 0.3 mm/m when used in handheld scanning mode with marker alignment. Thanks to a few different positioning methods, it’s possible to move both the scanner and the object(s) it’s scanning during the process.

If you’re looking for a convenient way to design all of your creative ideas, the company offers Solid Edge SHINING 3D Edition software, included with the purchase of the EinScan Pro HD. This design tool from Siemens PLM is integrated with the EinScan scanner family, and offers many now-typical 3D CAD design functions, such as generative design, reverse engineering, and simulation.

Finally, SHINING 3D’s professional 3D scanning and data processing software, ExScan Pro, and its upgrade, are free for all EinScan Pro HD users. The software features a new, easy UI and workflow, which features several helpful scan and mesh editing tools so you can easily generate the highest quality 3D models whether you’re a beginner or an experienced user.
