Zortrax Gains Global Momentum, Makes History Opening First 3D Printing Store and Hub in Krakow Poland

Zortrax has gained serious momentum — and fast. Now they have made history, opening the first 3D printing store in Poland.

Cementing both the new technology and their presence in their home country of Poland, Zortrax swung open the Zortrax Store doors to the growing number of Polish 3D printing enthusiasts, with a grand opening attended by hundreds. Many guests from the technical industry were in attendance, as well as a variety of other sectors such as: Business, Design, Press/media, Investment, Mentoring and International Distribution.

“By choosing Krakow for our first 3D printing store in Poland, we meant to find a spot where innovation and business are intertwined. Krakow is a place with a developed startup environment,” said Karolina Bołądź, COO at Zortrax.  “It gives us the possibility to work with many interesting designers and specialists.”

In quite the fête, Zortrax guests were able to:

• Participate in workshops.
• Watch a live print of a Krakow Podgórze mockup 3D printed on the Zortrax M200.
• Enjoy Q&A with industry specialists.
• Examine displays of 3D printed models.

Zortrax is not just offering a retail store for their customers. They are catering to Poland’s growing interest in 3D printing with a full service center that offers enthusiasts the opportunity to buy 3D printers, with their Zortrax M200 as a very attractive retail item. They should also garner a huge share of the 3D printing business as they will be operating as a 3D hub, and an ‘all-in-one’ store where customers can purchase 3D printing equipment, order 3D printed models, and get educated on 3D printing technology.

“The opening of a stationery 3D printing store is another step in the development of our company. It is also a way to introduce 3D printing to the public,” said Rafał Tomasiak, CEO at Zortrax. “Our goal for 2015 is to launch new machines in the first and second quarters of the year, expand research departments both in Poland and Asia, grow our distributor’s program, and debut on the stock market.”

Poland’s Zortrax has been on the rise to success since they were founded in 2011, and we have been following their progress.
