“Our focus has always been on taking care of our customers by understanding what drives their business and providing solutions that affect the bottom line,” James Janeteas said. “I’m excited because by combining our expertise and resources, we can be even more responsive and provide even deeper application knowledge and advice.”
The integrated company has offices all over Canada, in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Kitchener, Oakville, Oshawa, Montreal, and Dartmouth. Both partners have been working in high-growth sectors such as manufacturing, energy and healthcare.
“We shorten the distance between idea and production,” said Lee. “We help people and businesses execute well, and that’s never been more important. Joining Javelin and Cimetrix means we’re putting ourselves exactly where our customers will be and will need us to be.”
Casey Thivierge is Director of Engineering with A.V. Gauge & Fixture, which provides custom gauges and fixtures to manufacturers in all industries, and he agrees that the merger of Javelin and Cimetrix will benefit customers.
“Our goal is to continually improve in all areas to maintain our high standards of quality and service,” Thivierge said. “We appreciate every resource available to us, from knowledgeable advisers to the latest in technology, systems, and equipment. Javelin and Cimetrix have been an integral part of our growth and development through the years. Now, as a unified team, they’ll become an even stronger force with even more tools and resources to help us. Working with both of them has been and continues to be an outstanding experience. They will continue to propel us, as well as other Canadian businesses, well into the future of advanced manufacturing.”
Javelin Technologies resells SOLIDWORKS software and Stratasys and Desktop Metal 3D printers. In 2017, the company was named by Canadian Business and PROFIT as one of the fastest-growing information technology companies on the PROFIT 500 list. Javelin’s website offers technical information for designers as well as training and courses.
Cimetrix Solutions has been in business for 25 years and emphasizes making additive manufacturing technology work for customers in the real world, in industries including automotive, aerospace, education and medicine. The company specializes in high-performance prototypes, tooling and manufacturing aids, end-use parts, and low-volume manufacturing.
“For the past 17 years, Stratasys has had strong representation in the Canadian market with our veteran partners Cimetrix Solutions and Javelin Technologies,” said Rich Garrity, President, Americas for Stratasys. “The additive manufacturing landscape is changing at an ever-increasing rate and we value and need strong, industry-defining partnerships to help customers navigate.”
