With just one year under their belt, and a growing staff of over 25 employees, iGo3D was founded by Michael Sorkin and Tobias Redlin. Their company is running with some serious momentum, with their flagship store in Oldenburg operating as the design they are basing all other stores on, with one also set to open in Frankfurt this month, and then Hannover and Hamburg, opening early next year.
“After the launch of first 3D-retail shop in Germany we are founding the first full service retail franchise chain for 3D printing,” says CEO Michael Sorkin. While Poland and Russia already have iGo3D branches, he points out that they also have expansion plans internationally for sales offices in the Netherlands and Portugal. All retail stores offer:

While Germany is undeniably an industrial 3D printing hotspot, the desktop 3D printer market is picking up enormous speed as well. Germans seem to be very enthusiastic about the technology of 3D printing, with some experts pointing out that 3D printing and Germany are a perfect match due to their excellent engineering techniques. It is predicted that before too long they may soon surpass the U.S. in 3D printing innovation and manufacturing, as German additive manufacturing specialists and companies are growing at a rapid rate, and viewed as leaders in the industry, with Germany as a 3D printing hub.
