3Dkolla Has High Standards for 3D Printable Models, Put Together with an AR App

3Dkolla, a Greek endeavor with a love for advanced technology, has just launched its first Indiegogo campaign for its high-quality, 3D printable Kolla 3D models. The company offers a small range of well-designed models, capable of being printed with high complexity. The service maximizes 3D printing technology by offering updated modeling, decoration, and games that are inspired by the future.

“We are a small team of engineers from Greece, passionate for 3D printing,” the Kolla team tells 3DPrint.com.

The team emphasizes high standards for its models, and puts them together first, which takes time. Then every single piece of the 3D printable Kolla models go through detailed inspections and tests, with the functionality and mechanical parts carefully checked, before they’re shipped out to users, who will enjoy putting together unique constructions piece by 3D printed piece. This aspect, according to 3Dkolla, is what sets its models apart from the free models you can find on the Internet, and from other 3D printing services. Additionally, each model comes with an explanatory e-book.

3Dkolla knows that it can be boring to put together a model using only 2D pictures, so it also developed the augmented reality Kolla app, which gives users an interactive display of the instructions for each model. You can download the app for free on your smartphone or tablet.

3Dkolla currently has two series of 3D printable Kolla models available, and the first is the Space Series, which combines fun with engineering. The Shuttle Spacecraft model, featuring a total of 18 different pieces, has moving wheels, doors that open, and a moving, robotic arm.

According to the Indiegogo campaign, “Our experienced engineers have created this model taking into consideration the requirements of a 3D printer. It can be 3D printed in all qualities and nozzle diameters, in any case, the result is always perfect!”

You can get an interactive instruction display on the Kolla augmented reality app, and use the Space Shuttle e-book to find tricks and tips to determine the best 3D printing position for all the pieces.

The Cubics Series lets you be an architect for a day. Its highly detailed 3D printable Cubics Pyramid model offers a realistic look at the pyramids of Egypt, and also comes with several pieces you can put together yourself, and a helpful e-book; in addition, the Kolla app can also offer some assistance.

Purchasing one of the Kolla series would typically set you back by about $82, but you’re in luck, because 3Dkolla is currently offering its Indiegogo Special. For just $41, you can buy the e-books for both the Shuttle Spacecraft and the Cubics Pyramid and the .STL files for both models. In addition, you will get the Kolla app targets for free. But you have to act fast – this offer is only valid for a few weeks. Discuss in the 3Dkolla forum at 3DPB.com.
