Just minutes ago NaturalMachines launched a Kickstarter campaign for their revolutionary Foodini 3D food printer. Back in December they showed the world a prototype of the machine, however it appears they are 
NaturalMachines is seeking $100,000 in funding from the world’s largest crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter, by April 25th. In the early going, it appears that they will easily reach their goal. Within minutes there were already thousands of dollars in funding received, and that number keeps growing as we type this.
The Foodini printer comes with empty food capsules. This means the user can fill them with fresh food, which the machine uses to build, layer by layer, the desired shape the user wishes. The device has a built in, easy to understand, touch screen interface, which quickly allows the user to choose the appropriate settings for the project they are working on. The vision that NaturalMachines has is that one day the Foodini 3D Printer will be a staple in every kitchen just like a toaster, or microwave oven.
Just a few of the creative plates that can be made with this printer are, holiday cookies, pumpkin gnocchi, sweet potato hashbrowns, pizza, and mini burgers, all of which have pre-programmed recipes within the touch interface of the printer. The possibilities are truly endless with this device.

For a $999 pledge, backers will get the Foodini printer, which will retail for $1300. If you are extremely anxious you may choose to back the project with $1200, or $2000, and receive the printer well before the $999 level backers. Those who back the project for $2000 or more, will receive their Foodini printer in october of this year, while the ower dollar backers will have to wait until January of 2015.
