Two configurations, the B9 Core 530 and the B9 Core 550, are available, both “engineered to be the new industry leader in production, speed, and simplicity.”
B9Creations CEO, Shon Anderson, says, “Thousands of businesses told us they felt stuck choosing between low-cost technology that was slow and labor intensive or easier to use technology that cost a fortunte to own and operate. Their feedback motivated us to create the new B9 Core Series, offering a combination of resolution, speed, and first-class user experience, never-before found at this price.”
- Touchscreen and improved software
- Repeatable: print duplicate models without loss of original design
- Push button operation
- New resin vat lasts hundreds of prints
- WiFi, Ethernet, and USB connectivity make the solution scalable for high-volume applications
The series also gives the user more time to design, by removing complex calibrations and tuning from the equation. The B9 Core 530 and the B9 Core 550 were engineered with industrial-grade components, so the series is able to stand up to extensive daily operation. This is helpful, as the new series is designed to be used in a variety of different applications, including rapid prototyping, jewelry, industrial design and engineering, and manufacturing.
The B9 Core 530 is the better choice for custom production, as it features an average build speed of 20-30 minutes per inch. For large-scale manufacturing needs, definitely go with the B9 Core 550, which has a larger build envelope and averages a build speed between 40 and 60 minutes per inch for the full envelope. Whichever one you choose to utilize, users can now design, print, and cast hundreds of models in a typical work day, thanks to the aforementioned exceptional speed of the new B9 Core Series.
B9Creations founder and CTO Mike Joyce says, “The look is new and the company has grown, our passion remains the same – making high-resolution 3D printing technology work for your business.”
The company sure has come a long way from when its first commercially available B9Creators were funded via Kickstarter campaigns, the first of which raised over $510,000. B9Creations delivered both of its Kickstarter products on schedule, which is a feat that less than one third of the funded companies are able to achieve, but something that rings true to the core values of the company, and the fact that they “promise what they can deliver.” Discuss in the B9Creations forum at 3DPB.com.
