The product team at Shining 3D has been busy: they have unified the software operation platforms for both EinScan-S Desktop 3D Scanner and EinScan-Pro. So with the soon-to-be-released EinScan software 2.0, you can manage both of the scanners with the same software (it is important to mention, however, that it cannot run on both devices at the same time). If you recall, the EinScan Series 3D scanners are the world’s first multi-functional modular 3D scanners, and have been installed by users in over 60 countries.
EinScan-Pro
After the update, the user will only need to download one software installation package to be able to choose their device. They’ll connect the scanner, and complete the activation operation while the software is being installed. So, for the person who does own both the EinScan-S and EinScan-Pro, it’s just three simple steps: select which scanner, activate the device, and off you go.
Some of the biggest highlights of the EinScan version 2.0 software include:
a new and improved user experience
support for one-click data upload to the Sketchfab platform
the ability to directly share scanned 3D data easily over the Internet
multiple upgraded new functions
Shining 3D is dedicated to improving user experience, and has been collecting user feedback for a while, in order to enhance the experience. This new version supports multiple languages, including Chinese, English, Russian, Korean, Japanese, French, German, and Polish. The user can set the interface of their preferred language. The update also comes with enhanced user friendliness: one example is the addition of mouse operation text tips. These helpful tips show up at the bottom of the screen, so the user can operate the scanner per the tips’ instruction.
Sketchfab is the largest release platform in the world, with an online community of over 500,000 content creators. It allows for the sharing and discovery of online and virtual reality 3D content. Currently, there are over one million 3D models available on the website. Once EinScan users upgrade to the software version 2.0, the 3D scanners will support one-click upload onto the Sketchfab data platform. So whatever data the user captures can be uploaded and shared directly to the Internet through the Sketchfab data platform. Speaking of registered users, this new software update will be available to all EinScan Series scanner users as a free upgrade. They do ask that you keep your Internet connection unblocked while you’re installing the software. Starting on December 1st, just four days before the EinScan software version 2.0 launches, it will also be on open invitation for beta testing.
