You know the saying “good things come in small packages?” Sometimes the exact opposite is true: meet the Extreme 1500!
In 2015, Builder 3D Printers launched the Extreme 1000 and the Extreme 2000, which are currently being sold throughout Europe and the United States. The Extreme 1000 has a build volume of 700 x 700 x 820 mm, and the Extreme 2000 enables you to print an object nearly 1900 mm high.
The immense size of the Extreme Series of Builder is really great for large jobs, but it can also be a hindrance. They are so large, not every company was able to fit one inside the building. So now, Builder has come up with the Extreme 1500. Most industrial 3D printers are so large and heavy that they’re not mobile at all. The Extreme 1500 has four wheels on the bottom, which makes it easy to move the printer to a different location. So if one department is ready with its project, the Extreme 1500 can just be wheeled to its next location.
“With the Extreme series we wanted to make large scale 3D printing affordable. We did this with the Extreme 1000 and 2000, but not every company has the space to fit an Extreme inside. The Extreme 1500 has a large build volume, yet made slim enough to fit through every office door. It even fits in an elevator,” says Niels Hunck, Sales Manager of Builder 3D Printers.
The Extreme 1500 comes with a heated print bed, an on-board camera, Wi-Fi, and, like every Builder, a Dual-Feed Extruder, which is able to print two colors or materials through just one nozzle. When a prototype doesn’t need to be printed in two colors, the Dual-Feed extruder can be used as a mono extruder – just change the extrusion ratio of both extruders to 50%, put in two spools of the same color, and print for hours without running out of filament!
And speaking of large print jobs, no problem if you need to print overnight or during the weekend – the Extreme 1500 comes with an on-board camera, which allows you to check your print wherever and whenever you want.
