“We’re honored to have our most affordable 3D printing solution, the da Vinci Mini, recognized at COMPUTEX 2016,” said Simon Chen, CEO of XYZprinting and New Kinpo Group. “From our inception, XYZprinting has been focused on delivering high-quality, cost-friendly 3D printing solutions to the market to drive widespread adoption of 3D printing technologies. This recognition reinforces our mission to create versatile, exciting products showcasing the best technologies.”
Last year, XYZprinting offered a broad power-punch of activity and innovation to the industry, selling more 3D printers than anyone else—and with the affordability and quality included, certainly fueling even more of the intense competition within the marketplace. At this level, we’d certainly be curious to see who could even attempt to keep up with the barrage of new releases, infectious as their energy is. And the Mini operates as a perfect example of a printer that can indeed offer that much needed accessibility and affordability for everyone. A great machine for either the novice or the pro, its build size is the same as the da Vinci Junior, at 5.9 x 5.9 x 5.9 inches—but overall it’s a surprising 30% smaller. The turnkey solution will be sold through retail partners into late 2016.
XYZPrinting has also just recently released the da Vinci Pro 3-in-1, at nearly triple the price of the Mini, but with that many new features as well, including the option to scan or put an optional laser engraver to use—and touted as the ‘ultimate makers’ machine.’
So what will you see from the company at this event? If you drop by the XYZprinting booth at TWTC Exhibition Hall 1, 1st Floor, C0305, you can look forward to checking out the following:
All of their education solutions – to include both XYZmaker and its ‘lite’ version. The 3D modeling applications were created with young designers in mind, and for use in the classroom. According to the company, both versions are meant to provide accessibility and ‘expedite the process from design to print.’ Visitors will also be able to learn more about XYZ STEAM, presented as an online curriculum meant for teachers engaged in STEAM education. This program allows them to bring 3D printing to the classroom easily, and includes downloadable 3D printing models, assembly instructions, photos, videos and operation instructions.
Consumer 3D printing solutions – to include items like the XYZprinting Full Body Scanner, which should offer a host of options to users, not to mention great fun. The scanner allows for full body and full color scans, extending to any object. Visitors will also be able to check out the da Vinci Junior 1.0 3-in-1, which is meant for availability this summer, and will be priced at only $549, offering scanning and the optional laser engraver.
Commercial 3D Printing Solutions—to include ‘Superfine,’ as the enhanced Nobel solution is known, with DLP technology embedded into the company’s fastest, most precise 3D printer—still with a compact design. Priced at $1,999, XYZprinting recommends this advanced machine for those interested in prototyping and making jewelry. It prints with both cast-able and standard resin, offering high quality resolution, featuring an X/Y-axis resolution of 50 microns (0.05mm) with a layer thickness (Z-axis resolution) reaching up to 25 microns (0.025mm). Also to be seen is the da Vinci Super, meant for large size printing (300 x 300x 300 mm), offering many options for designers, engineers, and niche producers like toy makers.
The company is also highlighting their Cast-able Resins for Nobel solutions. The resins give designers the option of make molds with complex detail and smooth surfaces—meant for jewelry designs, metal work, dental prototypes, and engineering applications. In using these materials, designers can look forward to high quality and high speed, along with the ability to produce large quantities.
3D Printing Accessories—surely everyone will be curious also to check out the da Vinci 3D Pen. Retailing at $49, it’s recommended for arts and crafts and smaller DIY projects.
