“The ProJet MJP 2500 provides true professional capabilities at an affordable price. We believe the ProJet 2500 is the breakthrough professional 3D printer solution we have been waiting for. With an attractive entry price and the flexibility on materials, this is going to change the landscape for 3D printing applications. We have built out extensive demo labs for our customers to experience first-hand the benefits of 3D printing and how they will impact their unique environment,” explained Dale Ford, President and CEO of Hawk Ridge Systems.
The 3D Systems ProJet MJP 2500 Series was designed specifically for office and prototyping applications that are able to offer high quality, true-to-CAD parts. Both models of the 2500 Series are compatible with 3D Systems’ line of versatile VisiJet M2 3D printing materials, a durable white material and a high-quality black plastic material. The VisiJet M2 materials produce parts with a surface finish that looks and feels like traditionally injection molded parts capable of producing both end-use components and strong, fully-functional prototypes. The ProJet MJP 2500 Plus will also offer several additional material options, including a rigid clear material and flexible elastomeric black and elastomeric natural materials.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Hawk Ridge Systems to deliver the ProJet MJP 2500. With our advanced technology and Hawk Ridge Systems expertise in design and manufacturing applications, I believe we will help a growing number of professionals iterate faster and innovate better,” says Mark Wright, 3D Systems Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
The inkjet technology used by the 2500 Series 3D prints at 790 DPI on the Z axis, which equals more than half a billion droplets of material on each cubic inch printed. As with all of the industrial and professional grade 3D printers offered by 3D Systems, the 2500 Series is operated with their 3DSPRINT software. The software was designed for easy and intuitive use that offers users access to quick printability checks, 3D file repair, printing time estimates, material use projections, optimal print placement and print queue management, all in one software platform.
