In fantasy games, health or mana potions are a common occurrence that offer a player the chance to replenish health or hit points quickly so their character won’t need to slow down or rest. The Health Potion Pendant isn’t for sale to make Ng a profit, but rather to help her good friend’s father, who is currently battling stage four lung cancer. While health insurance in the United States has improved recently, it can still be prohibitively expensive to battle a life-threatening disease like lung cancer. “My father grew up dreaming of moving to the United States, but was unable to see himself through the citizenship process. He was able to work hard, and send me to school in the United States from the age of 13. He worked hard to support me thousands of miles away. While I was in school, he worked hard to also keep my ailing mother who suffers to this day from various illnesses. Today, I want to work hard for my father. My father was recently diagnosed with stage four lung cancer, and I need all the help I can get to help deal with the medical expenses. My father is the linchpin that held my family together during the tough times of my youth. I want to come through for him in his toughest time of need,” Rishi wrote over on Lumecluster.
