MyMiniFactory TV Week Starts Today: Tune in for Nonstop Streaming 3D Printed Content

tumblr_inline_o1cx9ytgNn1sm2l6h_500Right now, there’s a huge market for TV shows about cooking, decorating, building, and other DIY projects. I’m a big fan of the Food Network and HGTV, myself, and these types of channels are getting more and more specialized, particularly if you have a good cable plan. I wouldn’t be surprised if a 3D printing channel emerged in the near future, but though there isn’t one on TV yet, there is a pretty good streaming 3D printing channel online, courtesy of MyMiniFactory. Last year, the company introduced a live streaming service dedicated to all things 3D printing-related. MyMiniFactory TV is an online channel, or rather series of channels, open to all designers and makers interested in sharing their knowledge live with the rest of the world.

MyMiniFactory provides an easy guide to setting up your own channel, but the service is also a great resource for those who just want to learn some more about 3D printing or see what others are doing with the technology. This week in particular is a great time to stop by, if you haven’t already, because today marks the beginning of MyMiniFactory TV Week, a weeklong showcase of nonstop streaming video from MMF and several professional designers and companies they’ve partnered up with. It starts today and runs through Friday January 29, and you can log in at any time to watch the numerous special features being presented.

Those features include a presentation from Stalactite 3D, the Barcelona startup that launched in 2014 with their DLP stereolithography printer the Stalactite 102. CEO Quentin Hubert will be giving a presentation on the company’s products, as well as an introduction to DLP technology, on Tuesday at 4pm GMT. Wednesday will introduce Gravity Sketch, a 3D design startup who will be demonstrating their new private beta app for iPad, to which they will be giving MMF TV viewers exclusive access. If you’re interested in downloading the app, go here to sign up; Gravity Sketch’s presentation will be taking place on Wednesday at 3pm GMT.

Thursday at 6pm GMT will be the MMF TV Live Show, a weekly streaming event that could also be called “This Week in 3D Printing” – it’s a weekly roundup of news, prints of the week, and more. This Thursday will have special guests – drones! MMF will be providing a lot more exclusive content throughout the week; you’ll get to meet the company’s post-processing team, which will be streaming its work over the course of the week. If you struggle with post-processing at all, this will be a good chance to get some tips from the pros.

In addition, several featured designers will be sharing their work, including:

Those are just a few of the designers that MyMiniFactory has highlighted; there will be many more features you can check out over the course of the week, so tune in at any time. It’s cold out there, so stay warm with MyMiniFactory TV; you just might learn something new. Discuss your thoughts on this new channel in the Learn About 3D Printing with MyMiniFactory TV forum over at 3DPB.com.
