Printelize Offers Software Help to Other 3D Printing Businesses

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: so many online 3D printing platforms have sprung up recently that in order to be competitive, new sites must offer something that the other sites do not have. Printelize, a Polish startup that was formed in 2014, is similar to other platforms in some ways: users upload their 3D models, choose from a number of potential suppliers, and order their prints. However, Printelize also offers something that most other platforms don’t, which is a software package that makes it easier for other 3D printing businesses to create their own online platforms.

Printelize Professional is a sales automation software that enables small 3D printing businesses to create their own web interfaces to rival the “big players” such as i.materialise and Shapeways. The subscription software service promises to help businesses manage their customer relationships, automatically generate quotes for uploaded files and seamlessly process orders and transactions. Printelize Professional acts as a host for the company’s website, while allowing it to retain its own domain name and branding.

“Our mission as the company is to create best available online trading tools, to make 3d printing services widespread, easily attainable and so that procurement of these services would be as easy as shopping online,” Printelize CEO Tomasz Cichowicz tells 3DPrint.com. “With Printelize Professional we created the possibility for every 3D printing bureau to have an online sales platform with quote automation like the big players have. What is great is that our solution is subscription based so there are no capital expenses incurred by companies. Moreover, there are no additional commitments and there is a free trial.”

Pricing starts at $160 per month for the Silver plan, which allows for one salesperson account, or $225 per month for the Gold plan, which allows for three salesperson accounts in addition to the main account owner. They also offer an Enterprise package, which enables clients to customize and negotiate the price for a plan based on their own individualized needs.

Account owners are given a lot of control, including the option to decide whether their platform will be publicly available or only visible to certain customers. Owners can also decide whether to use the fully automated quote generator, or to manually create their own quotes and send them to customers. The automated system is simple: a customer uploads their 3D model, selects the print parameters, the system will calculate cost plus shipping based on account settings applied during the initial setup.
