For 3D Hubs enthusiasts, this week is pretty relaxed for events, so it’s a good time to get organized for the upcoming whirlwind winter months. Rotterdam and Lansing, Michigan are two cities with planned 3D Hubs events this week, so if you live in or near these locales, you are in luck!
3D Printing Meetup| Rotterdam, The Netherlands
Community Mayor Merijn invites you to join the 3D Hubs Rotterdam community for a meetup on November 2 from 6:00-10:00. Manuel Delgado from Advanc3D Materials will be speaking at this event about materials, and he will also be bring a dual extrusion printer. You can either bring your own 3D printer and possibly try out a few of the filament samples that are sure to be circulating, or you can come without a 3D printer and watch how others use theirs. The event will take place at HET LAB Rotterdam, and they will be serving soup there as well for a small donation.
3D Hubs Sketchfab 3D Scanner Party| Lansing, Michigan
On Thursday, November 5 at 6:30 pm, the East Lansing Technology Innovation Center will be hosting a Sketchfab 3D Scanner Party. Here, for a nominal $5.00 fee, you can be exposed to 3D scanning, and even use scanning to create either a mini-me bust or something you bring along with you. Your files from this scanner party will be published on Sketchfab. Joe, the Community Mayor, encourages you to reserve your spot early on Event Brite. Refreshments and snacks will also be provided, not to mention the added perk of meeting local folks who are also interested in 3D scanning and printing.
